Chena's nightmare

Chena woke up ealier then usual. She opened her eyes, to see dim light pouring out from her window. She yawned, and stood up. "Well..."Chena started, but then yawned again, "atleast i won't be late for school." Chena wanted to see the look on her teacher's face when she saw that she wasn't late but early. Chena reached for her school uniform and got changed. She yawned again, and grabbed for her backpack. She then went off to school.

On the way to school Chena saw that Dane was waiting for her on a wooden bench. "Good morning!" Dane said, with a childish smile.

Chena replied, with a very jovial tone of voice "Good Morning Dane!"

Dane walked beside Chena, they started to walk to school. "So, Chena, have any nightmares?" Chena shoke her head 'no' as her response. She looked at Dane and noticed that he had no backpack, or even books.

"Hey wheres your things?" Chena questioned, sepiously.

"Don't you remember? We have a field trip today" Dane told her, making it sound like it was obvious.

Chena looked cluelessly at him. What field trip? Since when do we have a filed trip? I never heard anything about this yesterday! Or did i miss it because i was late? Chena thought to herself, trying to recall knowing anything about a field trip. Or maybe this is...a dream? Chena shook the thought from her mind and contiued to walk with Dane.

When they got to the entrance to the school, a familar hyper voice sang out to them. "HI CHENA! HI DANE!" The voice amdiantly caught Dane and Chena's attention. They looked over and saw Ryu running towards them.

"Hello Ryu" Chena smiled, cheerfully.

Dane waved, then focused his attention back on Chena. "You honestly didn't know about the field trip?"

Chena looked down at the ground and replied "no..."

"Really? I can tell you where we're going! And what we're going to do! And what types of food will be there! And- hey speaking of food, im hungry!" Ryu trailed off, seemingly talking to herself.

Chena looked up at Ryu. She sighed and looked ahead at her school.

When Chena got settled in her classroom, the teacher began to talk. "As you know, today is our field Trip, for those of you that forgot, leave your things here and follow the other students." She shot a glare at Chena. CHena looked around, she noticed that she was the only one that had her stuff. She blushed in embarrassment.
